We watched this Michael Mann movie from 2004 last night.
Not being a huge fans of Tom Cruise – we were wary at best – but hopeful as we’d heard good things. The cinematography for the most part was stunning, with unique camera angles placed into every scene. The story line started strong yet faded towards the ending – which seems to be a common issue with most current hollywood films – probably something to do with screenwriters getting a great “kick-off” idea and then having to create a previously unplanned conclusion of sorts. The acting was okay – surprisingly stronger with the 2 main characters than with the supporting cast – who had some stiff wooden lines.
The Linda and Stevey review ? … 7.5/10 > worth renting
