After discussing the idea with Allen last week, I couldn’t resist pulling a ‘polar bear‘ on Saturday at the cottage. My version of a polar bear is: 30 minutes in the sauna, dash out and roll in the deep powdery snow, back to the sauna, repeat.
The first time was cold but the shock kind numbs everything, the second time is like a 1000 small needles.
The snow, quickly melting off you, as you run back through the kitchen to the sauna does make quite the mess – but otherwise well worth it.
