The fire on Des Pins

2008-04-04 12:07 | by Steve | links + bookmarks, montreal + canada + the world

Found some crazy photos this morning (via Andy on Twitter) of the fire that happened on Des Pins Wednesday afternoon.

I walked past it that night and there were still flames at 7pm.

Some of our clients work 2 buildings down and where evacuated due to intense smoke. Even people 2 blocks away really felt the burn/punch of the smoke it seems.

So sad and crazy – when I got to work, it looked totally under control – just one unit on fire and fighters on the scene. And now, 100 people left homeless…
