Plank picked me up a bunch of slick accessories for my new Macbook Pro 2.4 LED.
It’s probably the biggest change I’ve made in my computing habits in years. One thing is that using it with second monitor when I’m at my desk; it’s sits low compared to the 2nd screen and has to sit “back” in order to accommodate my full size mouse/keyboard. I happened to see this “mStand” online that looked like a perfect solution.
The ‘mStand’ is really stunning. It’s a solid cast piece of aluminum that will raise my laptop on my desk to the same height as my apple cinema display. Has enough room underneath to stow a backup drive, or my keyboard, or whatever. Also gives my hand more “mouse” space with my 2nd monitor on my left and laptop on the right. The lower photo on this page shows my exact setup.
The design matches the cinema display beautifully. The stand is very sturdy with hardly any bounce – not that I need that but someone else might. The ‘stopper’ that keeps the computer from sliding down leaves the superdrive completely accessible, which is to be expected, but nice to see that it fits in so well.
